Poket Private Limited (“Poket”) respects user privacy and is committed to giving transparency of its privacy practices.

1. Rationale For Information Collection

Poket is a revolutionary mobile application that takes away a person’s (“user’s”) hassle of filling in paper application forms to join any merchant membership and/or rewards programs” (“Merchant Programs”). But this does not mean that Merchants no longer need a user’s personal information to qualify for such Merchant Programs. Poket seeks to reduce a user’s repetitive work in providing its personal information every time it would like to join a Merchant Program. Poket revolutionises this process by requiring the user to fill up a digital application form only once, which the user can then use to submit to Merchants or join any Merchant Programs. The information collected allows the Merchants and Poket to serve its users better.

2. Information Collected

The types of Personal Information collected may include but is not limited to the user’s name, email address, mailing address, phone number, birthday, Facebook username, and other user information relating to Poket’s Services. Additional information such as the user’s transaction location, transaction details, purchase activity, device information, location information, and browser information may also be collected.

The information collected shall be used but not limited to:

Name – for identifying and personalising the communications
Email – for communication with you for marketing and account matter
Mobile number – for communication with you for marketing and account matter
Date of birth –for sending of the birthday rewards and gifts

Poket DOES NOT sell or share any personal information about a user to or with any person or organisation except:

as authorized by the user to transfer information in the user’s digital application form, or other information provided by the user, to the Merchant for the purposes of the user joining or participating in any Merchant Programs;

as authorized by the user to transfer to the Merchant the user’s first name and last name for the downloading of any voucher, or scanning any QR code at the Merchant’s tablet/mobile device for the purposes of receiving a voucher;

to Merchants or third parties with whom Poket has entered into a business relationship in order to or in connection with providing various products or services to the user (either directly or through one or more third parties);

as may be required by applicable law or regulatory requirement;

as otherwise set out in Poket’s Terms and Conditions at www.poket.com.

3. Delete Personal Data

The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing or is permitted or required under applicable laws. You may withdraw consent and request us to delete or remove your personal data by contacting our Personal Data Protection Officer at dpo@poket.com .

4. Security

Poket takes the security of your personal data seriously. We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, and technical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks.

All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard technologies. Personal data is stored securely using AES-256 encryption and protected with role-based access controls.

While we adopt best practices to secure your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Risks such as unauthorized access, software or hardware failures, or cyber threats may still occur. In such cases, we will respond promptly and transparently in accordance with our data breach response protocols.

5. Changes To Privacy Policy

Poket may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The use of currently collected information shall be subjected to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If Poket makes changes to the Privacy Policy, such changes will be posted at Poket’s website and/or within the Poket Application/Services.

6. Acceptance

The user consents to Poket’s collection and use of information as set forth in this Privacy Policy and Poket’s Terms and Conditions at www.poket.com. By registering with Poket, providing any information under Poket’s Services or starting or continuing to use Poket’s Services in any way, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all the terms set out in this Privacy Policy and Poket’s Terms and Conditions at www.poket.com. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy or Poket’s Terms and Conditions at www.poket.com, please do not provide Poket with any information or use the Poket Application/Services in any way.
